Traffic Engineering on Jalan Otista to Begin July 20 Due to JPO Revitalization

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will implement traffic engineering on Jalan Otto Iskandardinata (Otista), East Jakarta, due to the revitalization of pedestrian bridge (JPO) at Transjakarta Gelanggang Remaja Bus Stop. The construction is scheduled to take place from July 20 to December 15.

"Pedestrians will be redirected to use pelican crossing,"

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, mentioned that the traffic engineering is intended to support the construction progress without disrupting the traffic.

He noted that JPO at Gelanggang Remaja Bus Stop will be inaccessible during the construction period.

"Pedestrians will be redirected to use zebra crossing with signal lights or pelican crossing," he added, Thursday (7/17).

The construction stages are as follows:

a. West-side ramp work

• Scheduled from July 20 to December 15, 2025

• Shoring installation on the sidewalk will not occupy the roadway

•  Traffic from Kampung Melayu to Cawang and vice versa remains normal

b. East-side ramp work

• Scheduled from August 10 to December 15, 2025

• Shoring installation on east-side of bus lane, thus Transjakarta from Kampung Melayu to Cawang will implement mix traffic during the period (September 6-26)

• Traffic fron Cawang to Kampung Melayu remains normal

c. JPO girder work

• Scheduled from October 14 to November 21, 2025

• Traffic in both directions (Kampung Melayu-Cawang and vice versa) remains normal
